Health and Wellness Management BS (Collaborative Degree)

The online Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management is a degree completion program designed to equip you with the skills necessary to design, develop, implement, and maintain health and wellness programs in the workplace. This degree program will help you learn more about the seven dimensions of wellness and how they affect our lives and well-being.

Companies and agencies nationwide need qualified individuals who can manage and administer health and wellness programs across departments and business units to reduce healthcare costs and improve productivity and employee well-being. A Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness can be the foundation for a variety of positions including:

  • Wellness manager
  • Wellness program manager
  • Worksite wellness coordinator
  • Director of sports, fitness, and wellness

Prospective students for healthcare/wellness programs range from insurance professionals, human resources' administrators, nurses and fitness coaches, to health educators and health promoters.

Credits for completion

The online Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management is a degree completion program designed for students who already have some college credits or a liberal arts-based associate degree. You are eligible for admission to this degree if you have completed at least 60 semester credits of transferable coursework with a 2.0 or better grade point average (GPA).

You are required to take each of the 21 courses in the curriculum. Because of the unique nature of the program, other courses may not be substituted for courses in the curriculum, and there are no electives.

Admission Requirements

You are eligible for admission to this degree if you have completed an associate degree or at least 60 semester credits of transferable coursework with a 2.0 or better grade point average (GPA) and the following prerequisite courses: Introductory Psychology; Introductory Biology, Introductory Communications/Speech, and English Composition. (Prospective students who do not have an associate degree can contact one of the participating campuses or UW Colleges to learn more about earning an associate degree online.)
