Human Services Leadership BS (UW Oshkosh)
The College of Education and Human Services offers students interested in working with non-profit and government agencies an online option to earn their bachelor's degree. Students of the HSLO program take 40 credits within the major's core courses, which focus on professional leadership and decision-making, human behavior and strategies for intervention, program evaluation and grant writing, and legal and ethical issues.
Many graduates who earn their Bachelor of Science in Human Services Leadership go on to pursue careers as advocates, criminal justice workers and community planners and administrators. Others pursue master's degrees in counseling education and public administration.
Employers of recent HSLO graduates include Advocap, the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Humane Society, March of Dimes, Red Cross, United Way and YMCA, as well as emergency shelters, domestic abuse services and food banks.
